Stamping Sourcing Guides by Buyer Country

Where the parts are used decides the drawing standard, the approval paperwork and the trade rules on the shipment. These guides start from the buyer's country and stay neutral about where the shop is.

What each buyer country brings to the RFQ

A starting map, not a rule book. Customers set their own requirements, and trade measures change by notice, so each country page dates its facts and names the source to check.

How the country pages are built

Each page answers the same questions in the same order, so two markets can be compared line by line.

  1. Demand

Which industries buy stampings in that market and what they ask for.

  2. Drawings and standards

The drawing standard, units and general tolerance notes buyers there use.

  3. Approval

First article, PPAP or the local automotive equivalent, and who signs it.

  4. Trade rules

Duty layers, origin rules and reporting duties, each marked "as of" with its source. Confirm with your customs broker.

  5. Commercial norms

Incoterms, tooling ownership and payment habits, and what to put on the RFQ.
